In the county seat of Dorchester: Cambridge, Maryland

Founded in 1684 on the beautiful banks of the Choptank River, Cambridge is one of the oldest colonial cities in the nation. Friendly, boatable and walkable, this iconic Chesapeake community marries maritime heritage and Eastern Shore traditions with all of the luxury of a world class travel destination.

Downtown is just a short walk from Cambridge Harbor and you will find a lively restaurant and bar scene supported by retail shops and active arts and entertainment district.

Multiple festivals and events through out the year to highlight our diverse history and culture.

Port of Call for American Cruise Lines

One of the favorite stops for passengers cruising on the Chesapeake Bay.  Greeted by our Town Crier, the passengers get to visit the Harriett Tubman Visitor Center, paddle at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge,  tour the Choptank Light House, dredge oysters on the Skipjack Nathan, see homes from the 18th Century on High Street, and shop downtown.
