A public space alongside the bridge connecting users from Cambridge Harbor to Downtown Cambridge destinations.
The space is a collaboration the Richardson Maritime Museum. The museum is your port of entry to experience the region’s 300-year maritime history of outstanding boatbuilders and their boats.

The team is experienced in every aspect of boat building, repair, and maintenance, and they have a railway that provides the ability to haul large vessels, making the facility one of the finest boatyards on the East Coast.
The Wharf
A deep-water port with a 470-foot wharf. A regular destination for river cruises.
Public Boat Ramp
Access to four major rivers leading to the Chesapeake – Choptank, Little Choptank, Honga and Nanticoke – is easy when launching a motorized vessel or personal watercraft from a Dorchester County public boat ramp.
The Franklin Street ramp located at Cambridge Harbor is close to Rt 50 and has four slips for launching. Great fishing and recreational boating just yards away from the ramp.
SailwindsPark
With over 30 years of association with the site, it was important for CWDI to retain the site’s equity in the “Sailwinds” name. “Sailwinds Park” will continue to represent the public greenspaces along the waterfront of Cambridge Harbor.
This is a 3 acre public park with access to amenities at the Dorchester County Visitor Center found on site. There will be a stage and power available soon. You can reserve the park for private events contact us to discuss options.
East Gateway Park
