History

The vision for what is today known as Cambridge Harbor, is a plan with 30+ years of community input. Throughout the decades the City of Cambridge and its partners have faithfully protected this site with multiple cultural, ecological, and economic strategies. We are now just beginning to see the fruits of this labor. We invite you to learn about Cambridge Harbor’s History and our process with the community.

The Place

30 Acres of prime waterfront property on the Choptank River located in Dorchester County, the Heart of the Eastern Shore.  This is a unique and very special place.  The county's location and size support a wide variety of professional and recreational activities. 540 square miles of land make it the largest County on the Eastern Shore, add to that almost 70 square miles of water and we are one of the largest counties in the state. Our borders are primarily the Chesapeake Bay along with the Choptank and Nanticoke Rivers, as a result we have over 1,500 miles of shoreline to support a rich nautical culture.

We encourage you to take time to learn more about this special place we call home and consider making it your home.
