Angie Hengst, Board President
Angie is employed by the Ironman Group, where she successfully plans and manages both the annual Eagleman and Ironman races in Cambridge and Dorchester. Her efforts bring nearly 12,000 visitors into the community creating a $12 Million economic impact. When not working directly on local races, Angie helps manage numerous other Ironman events around the United States.
Angie moved to Cambridge 20 years ago as a grad student completing her MS in Marine Estuary and Environmental Science at the University of Maryland’s Horn Point Laboratory. She was appointed to the CWDI Board in 2023 by the Dorchester County Council after CWDI identified a gap in its collective skills sets pertaining to public event space planning, funding, and activation.
