Jeff Powell

Board Member, Vice President

Jeff is a Dorchester County native, and has dedicated himself to improving Dorchester County. He attended Salisbury State, in Salisbury, MD. Jeff is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Maryland, affiliated with his family’s real estate business, Powell Realtors. Jeff brings extensive property development and management experience to the CWDI mission.

Jeff served as President of the Dorchester County Council in the 1990’s and was instrumental in bringing the Hyatt Chesapeake Resort to Cambridge, and in the development of the Dorchester County Visitor Center located at the eastern gateway to Cambridge Harbor. Jeff has been a CWDI Board Member since its formation in 2018, appointed by the County, and reappointed in 2022. He is a CWDI Executive Committee Member.

In January 2023, Jeff was asked by the newly elected Dorchester County Council to act as its Interim County Manager to help them chart a new course for the county, and identify the county’s next manager.
